Our Club's International Project

The picture above is of an operating microscope Doreen and MaryAnn delivered, donated by Spokane Valley Lions Club. Two other Rotary clubs in our district also contributed funds to the grant project.
Our club in conjunction with the Nalta Volunteers held an auction November 2011, for the purpose of raising funds for Nalta Hospital. Due to the collaborative efforts of multiple groups we were able to purchase a new ambulance for the hospital. Then, we made a matching grant of $52,000 for the purpose of starting 15 village sites for Women and Infant Mortality Reduction education. The Nalta Hospital Foundation administered the project. We partnered with the Rotary Club of Satkhira (located in the next town.) According to the progress report, 1497 women were served by this grant.
