2nd Harvest - Bite2Go

Tens of thousands of children in the Second Harvest service area are food insecure. These hungry kids face poor health outcomes including a higher risk of depression, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Food insecure kids also face difficult academic outcomes because hungry kids struggle to learn. The Bite2Go program identifies business, faith and civic organizations with the generosity and capacity to support hungry kids. They empower those organizations to adopt a school and, through Bite2Go, to provide nutritious, shelf-stable, kid-friendly food support for the weekend. |
